I just discovered that the "Harvard 5 Miler" for the 4th of July is actually, um, in Harvard, MA... not the university. Damnit. Do you know where that is? It's out by freakin' Concord and Worcester! So I need a car to get out there. And I thought, okay, cool, I'll just get one Thursday night since I need to drive to CT anyway that afternoon. Well, no cars available to rent since its a holiday, I guess.
So now I'm not only not going to the BBQ, but I'm not even racing that!
I'm trying to find something more local, but coming up short. There is a race on Nantucket if I could find a way down there. Does anyone want to come to Nantucket with me...for the day...? Okay, okay. I know, it would be impossible to get on the island without waiting 12 hours in traffic.
